欧洲数据格式（EDF）是一种用于交换和存储多通道生物和物理信号的简单而灵活的格式。

The European Data Format (EDF) is a simple and flexible format for exchange and storage of multichannel biological and physical signals.

EDF是由几位欧洲医学工程师开发的，最初是在哥本哈根召开的1987届国际睡眠大会讨论提出的。

It was developed by a few European ‘medical’ engineers who first met at the 1987 international Sleep Congress in Copenhagen.

edfRead的功能是将欧洲数据格式（European Data Format，EDF）的文件导入MATLAB。

[hdr, record] = edfread(fname)，返回的hdr包含字头信息，record中的data包含数据波形信息。

[…] = edfread(fname, ‘assignToVariables’, assignToVariables)

[…] = edfread(fname, ‘targetSignals’, targetSignals,…)
