英语中的各种“破坏”

破坏有 damage , destroy，spoil 也是破坏的意思。
destroy 的摧毁、毁灭的意思，程序最重。
被 destroy 后的事物往往不能够再使用。
经常与 completely / totally 连用。
The school was completely destroyed by fire.
学校被大火彻底烧毁了。
The accident seemed to have totally destroyed his confidence.
这场事故似乎已击垮了他的信心。
spoil 破坏的东西通常比较抽象。
