之前介绍过用Notepad++和VSCode进行二进制文件编辑。
很多通用型的文本编辑器都会集成二进制文件编辑功能，或者使用插件等形式扩展此项功能。比如vi/vim等工具。
而且，作为文本编辑、二进制文件编辑一类的工具，数量众多，各有特色。
在需要对二进制文件进行分析对比、编辑处理时，有一个好用的工具还是很重要的。
今天我需要分析一个加密和不加密的文件类型的区别，使用beyond compare的二进制比较后，发现文件格式上的区别，要修改内容的话，就需要一个合适的二进制文件编辑软件。
其实呢，对于工具来讲，首先是要有使用的需求，如果你没有使用的必要，这款工具再好，功能再强，对你也没意义。
然后就是工具使用的水平，不是越复杂越强大的工具越好，而是自己越熟悉、越适应的工具越好。
我连Notepad++这个大众类型软件的很多功能还没用好，当然也没时间再花精力掌握一款新软件，自然也没法发挥这些工具的最大效力。
