01.非谓语动词

1 分词作状语

分词作状语时表示的动作是主语动作的一部分，与谓语表示的动作或状态几乎是同时或几乎同时发生的，有时先于谓语动词的动作发生

作时间状语时相当于 when 引导的从句

这类状语通常放在句子前半部分，若两个动作同时发生，可在分词前用 when 或 while 表示强调。

例：
Hearing the news, she jumped for joy.

Looking at these pictures, I remembered my childhood.

Walking along the street, she suddenly saw a five-star hotel in the distance.

Walking in the street, I saw him.

作原因状语时相当于 as,since,because 引导的从句

这类状语通常放在句子前半部分。
例：Not knowing what to do next, I want to ask for your advice.

作方式或伴随情况状语时不能用状语从句替换，但常可改写为并列成分

这类状语通常放在向子前半部分。
例：
Followed by two students, the teacher went into the classroom.

Talking and laughing, they walked into the classroom.

作条件状语相当于 if, unless 等引导的从句

常见引导条件状语的分词有：given,supposing, considering, provided, granted, compared with 等
例：
Working hard, you will afford a two-bedroom house.

Studying hard, you will make progress every day.

作结果状语相当于 so that 等引导的从句

这类状语通常放在句子的后半部分，常可译为“于是，所以，因而”等。
例：He fell off the bike, cutting his leg.

2 关于宾补，再补充一下

可用不定式作宾补的动词/短语(通常表示 "指示，愿望，感觉〞等）：
drive, enable, forbid, hate, inform, like, mean, want, recommend, require, assist, bring, have, arrange for, let, listen to, look at, make, worry, inspire, lead, ask, request, tell, invite, force, press, get, cause, wish, prefer, intend, expect, encourage, advise, persuade, instruct, allow, permit, remind, order 等。

例：
My teacher advised me to buy a better dictionary.

She asked me to answer the phone in her absence.

I will get someone to do it for you.

He likes his wife to dress well.

I wish it to be finished before Friday.
