Module3---Unit 1: Daily Activities: 1. Kathy's Schedule

Kathy is a writer, who works for a newspaper and writes books as well. Her schedule changes everyday(Her daily schedule varies.).  She often works late at night. As a result, she doesn’t like to get up early. Sometimes, she gets up so late that she doesn't have time for breakfast.

Today, For example, she didn't get up until nine fifteen. She didn’t eat any breakfast. (She didn’t have time for breakfast.) She just ate (had) a cup of coffee. Then she worked on her computer at home until eleven thirty.

At eleven forty-five she left home and took a bus downtown. It is now two o’clock and she is eating a late lunch. She is very hungry because of not eating the breakfast, so she is having a large lunch.

Later this afternoon, she is going to have a meeting with her boss and to make a request.  She wants to take a week off, so that she can go to Paris. Her best friend, who lives in Paris, is going to get married.

This evening she is going to interview an important person about problem of nuclear waste. The interview is scheduled to last for an hour, from six thirty until seven thirty. After the interview she's going to work late. She wants to finish the story before she goes to bed.

She thinks it's going to be an important story. We all need energy but we have to think carefully about safety.
