Networking.

Ever heard of LinkedIn? Glassdoor? These are two very wonderful and useful tools.

LinkedIn is a professional network which has company and job info available.

Glassdoor is one of the best go to tools to get reviews, pay range, job descriptions all from the employees in whichever company you're looking for. Note: if there 1 bad review and a ton of good ones, it's usually the employee problem and vice verse if there's a ton of bad reviews.

We'll ignore govt sector jobs for now, let's check the private sector. Job ads as well as recruiters post frequently on LinkedIn. Heck, they even use it for prospective purchasing. (Saw a contact looking to sell an aircraft engine, how's that?)

Want some tips? Get you account and profile up to date. Include your accomplishments, fields / skills you're pro-efficient in. Basically all the stuff you put in your resume / CV. Then add in stuff you'd normally say in am interview: core salesperson for so & so contract, etc.

Link up with other like minded folks, ask for a mentor, post and share related articles and information. This expands your professional circle and get other folks and prospective employers looking at you. Plus its free!

Just my 2 cents, hope it helps!
