Readiness
Readiness shall be set to “complete” whenever a monitor or a group of monitors addressed by this status has/have run since the last erasing by request of an external OBD scan-tool.
Readiness shall be set to “not complete” by erasing the fault code memory of a monitor or group of monitors by request of an external scan-tool.
自上次通过外部OBD扫描工具请求擦除以来，已经/已经运行以此状态寻址的一个或多个监视器，则就绪状态应设置为“完成”。
通过根据外部扫描工具的要求擦除监视器或一组监视器的故障代码存储器，可以将就绪状态设置为“未完成”。
Normal engine shutdown shall not cause the readiness to change.
正常的发动机关闭不应改变准备状态。
The manufacturer may request, subject to approval by the certification authority, that the ready status for a monitor be set to indicate “complete” without the monitor having completed, if monitoring is disabled for a multiple number of operating sequences due to the continued presence of extreme operating conditions(e.g. cold ambient temperatures, high altitudes). Any such request shall specify the conditions for monitoring system disablement and the number of operating sequences which can pass without monitor completion before ready status can be indicated as “complete”.

Readiness Code
当所有排放相关的故障诊断都已执行完毕时，才被设置的代码。在联邦排放认证测试程序的低温部分完成之前，该准备就绪代码被发送。检测设备会询问控制模块，确认准备就绪代码的状态。若该代码已被设置好了，则该控制模块已经进行过所有排放相关的诊断测试。
例如，当发动机起动时，在对进气歧管压力的变化范围作诊断测试时可能会要求速度和扭矩超出怠速工况条件运行。因此，当系统消除了这个故障代码，然后重新启动发动机，那么直到进气歧管压力的变化范围测试完成时，该准备就绪代码才被设置。不止是进气歧管压力的测试，其它测试也希望在准备就绪代码发送之前执行。每当车辆熄火的时候，准备就绪代码的状态设置为“未准备好”。
