Sometimes because of the need to save computer power, sometimes because of avoiding screen peeping by colleagues, sometimes because of various reasons such as listening to music, computer disk defragmentation and other reasons running in the background, these all prompt us to turn off the computer screen.

Solution 1: Set Windows system’s own power options
If your computer is a Windows operating system, you can use the following method to turn off the screen, this method does not need to install plug-ins or third-party applications, just adjust the power settings of the Windows system.
(1) Click the "Start" button, open the "Control Panel", enter the "Settings" and click "Power Options";
(2) Select "Turn off display" and set the time you want the display to sleep (as shown in Figure 1-1).
After you are done, you can go out with confidence, and the display will be automatically turned off at the set time. Clicking on the keyboard or moving the mouse can make the notebook exit the always-on mode.

Solution 2: Use third-party software to realize shutdown - use NirCmd software
The setting method is as follows:
(1) Download and install NirCmd software from the Internet;
(2) After the installation is complete, right-click on the desktop and select "New" -> "Shortcut"; click "Browse", search for "NirCmd.exe", create a command, and add a space after filling in the location and time up. The command is "C:\Program Files\nircmd.exe\ cmdwait 5000 monitor off". After clicking "OK", the shortcut is successfully created;
[Note] If you want to turn off the computer screen in the future, you can double-click this shortcut for 5 seconds.

(1) In the main window of the program, click the "New" button on the toolbar to open the task dialog box (see Figure 2-2);
(2) Select "Turn off display" on the left side of the task dialog box;
(3) Click the "New" button in the trigger list at the bottom left of the task dialog box to open the trigger dialog box (see Figure 2-3);
(4) Select "idle time" in the trigger dialog box, for example: select idle for 15 minutes to execute;
(5) Click "OK" to close the trigger dialog box, and click "OK" to close the task dialog box.
