Previous section describes how to install a Linux system via virtual machine VMware, and the actual development, we want more of a Linux system is installed directly on your computer.
Common method of installing Linux directly on the computer system there are two kinds, namely, mounting and installation CD-ROM U disk (including removable hard disk). However, due to disc media inconvenient to carry, most computers do not bring their own drives and other factors, this installation is gradually withdraw from the stage of history, so this section explains how to use U disk to install Linux system.
Preparatory
Use U disk to install Linux system, you need the following tools:
- Large-capacity disk U (CentOS 6.x mounting system, U disk capacity of at least 8 G);
- UltraISO tool, used to make U disk boot disk. In addition, because the tools are UltraISO Windows software, you need a computer to install the Windows help system;
- ISO image file CentOS 6.x system.
UltralISO used here only to make one of U disk boot disk tools, in addition, you can also select cabbage, peaches and other old software, can achieve a key to quickly make U disk boot disk.
U disk to install Linux system
U disk to install Linux system needs to go through the following steps:
- UltraISO download and install software on computers with Windows systems.
- UltroISO installed with U disk boot disk production, the specific operation is:
- U disk into the computer through the USB port;
- Start UltraISO software, select "File -> Open" command, find the downloaded CentOS 6.x installation image file (iso file);
- Select "Start -> write disk image" command, open the "write disk image" dialog box, select your U disk in the "Hard Drive" drop-down list box (be careful not to choose the wrong, because this step for U disk format operation). "Writing mode" select "USB-HDD +", and then click the "write" button and wait for the completion of the writing, as shown in FIG.

- Insert U disk, U disk is set to a first boot device, the installation interface after a reboot.
- Select the first item "Install or upgrade an existing system (installation or upgrade an existing system)", enter the installation language selection screen, as shown in FIG.

- Select "Simplified Chinese", select "OK", select the keyboard interface. Here default selection "US" American standard keyboard, select "OK", the installation method interface appears, as shown in FIG.

- Select "Harddrive (hard disk drive)", select "OK", select the partition into the interface. Here partition using the "/ dev / sdb4" on behalf of U disk partition. "Directory holding image" item install.img file in the search for the U disk image directory, do not fill, the system will automatically search for, as shown in Fig.

- Select "OK", enter the graphical installation interface.
