The long-awaited, openwrt 19.07 branch official release

After two release candidates, openwrt 19.07 branch finally made official in early 2020 edition! ! ! ! ! ! !

19.07 The main highlights are as follows:

  • The ar71xx target into ath79 target, the next target will remain two for some time, but long-term will be cut to say ath79 target
  • WPA3 support; since WPA2 2017 in October by high-risk vulnerabilities disclosed the existence of the Belgian security researcher Mathy Vanhoef, openwrt community began to actively support openwrt of WPA3 response, but due to various historical reasons and hardware reasons, the overall WIFI ecological support for WPA3 still some problems, such as some support WPA2 terminal could not connect support AP WPA2 + WPA3 of; while taking into account a lot of flash size of the router less than 8M, and WPA3 support you need to install additional dependencies package, so the default is not supported by default WPA3 open (which is less than 8Mflash route why not hurry out of it? Why such garbage hardware support it? ........)
  • LuCi was a great upgrade, will generate the view into the client thus greatly improving the computational efficiency; but because of this change is relatively large, and ecological LuCi is relatively large, not all LuCi package are the appropriate follow-up changes, which lead to some bug (according to the group Friends of the feedback we openwrt, the new version of LuCi bug did more, I hope you into the pit, to more issue, support the development of openwrt)

Since the time two times before the release candidate version openwrt 19.07 it has been described in more detail some of the specific changes that this would not specify what specific changes have the version 19.07, version 2 of the former may be interested in looking through the release notes or go to the official website to see good English release note.

OpenWrt official said last big thank (big thank) the development maintainers, testers, documentation, personnel Openwrt community (I count it such a move bricks staff ?????) and supporters (which I certainly count), and I wish you all play happy! I wish OpenWrt getting better and better, more and more red, more and more of a variety of support (this is my personal blessing)
