Simply put, it can detect whether you have been deleted by your friends.
From the drawings in the patent literature description, we can also see the specific operation method: on the WeChat address book page, click on the upper right corner, and you can see the option of "Clear Single Friend".
Then it will display the list of contacts who are no longer friends of the other party, that is, your WeChat friends have been deleted. You can click the delete button in the upper right corner to delete them by one-click multiple selection.
Tencent said that the method is simple to operate, does not need to send a large amount of redundant information, improves the efficiency of one-way friend detection, and reduces system consumption.
However, after the publication of this patent, netizens complained one after another.
Some netizens believe that QQ had this function a long time ago, and this patent of WeChat was also applied for on October 22, 2019, and it was not made public until now.
There are also netizens who believe that WeChat cannot be directly double deleted because the chat records involve a lot of evidence, and one party is not qualified to delete the other party.
Although this function is still in the patent stage and has not been officially launched, it should be soon.
