Python 2 end support, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS proceed to remove it work

Python 2 had been in early 2020 to reach  EOL phase (End of Life), Ubuntu and Debian developers continued commitment from the operating system to remove Python 2  work package will continue the transition to Python 3 is no longer maintained or removed packages.

Ubuntu / Debian project developer Matthias Klose has been coordinating most of the Python Debian Ubuntu and 2 to remove the work, and provide another update on this issue. To date, Ubuntu 20.04 archive is no longer available libpython-dev, python, python-minimal and other software packages as part of a package python-defaults.

Although python2-minimal and python2 other * package to meet dependencies not yet compatible with the rest of Python 3 packages, but these packages will not be stored in the Ubuntu "Focal" file. The ultimate goal is the timely Python 2 will be completely removed in version Ubuntu 20.04 released in April, as this is the need to maintain long-term support version for many years. But in the Universe archive will not offer some of the residual support for Python 2 Python 3 package.
