Esxi system installation or need to reinstall the already installed esxi
environment: Dell R730 server.
Preparation: the installation of the VMware ESXi 5.5.0 image to be ready ahead of time, will do the installation via CD, U disk, idrac management interface mount mode.
1, loading VMware ESXi 5.5.0 version ISO file, ESXi boot loader, and starts the installation. Press enter, enter the installation interface. as the picture shows:
2, the installation ESXi boot loading process, this should wait, on the window can clearly see a variety of information, including host configuration (CPU, memory), a version number, kernel, hardware platform, etc., shown in FIG. :
3, VMware ESXi into the installation interface, see "Welcome to 5.5.0 Installation the VMware ESXi" interface, press 'Enter key' to start the installation, the next step. as the picture shows:
4, in the "End User License Agreement" screen, press the 'F11' key to acceptance of the license agreement. as the picture shows:
5, in the "Select a Disk to Install or Upgrade" interface, we can choose the location of the installation disk, now only one disk, press 'Enter key' can, as shown:

如果有这个界面出现，就是本机以前安装过ESXi并且存在使用中，就会弹出“ESXi and VMFS Found”的界面，它是提示你可以找到一个ESXi与VMFS数据存储，选择如下：

建议：以前版本是ESXi 5.X，可选第1项；安装全新的ESXi，但须保留数据库，可选第2项；如是重装并且数据不要，可选第3项。现在是重装，那我选择第3项，如图所示：
7、在“Please a keyboard layout”界面，选择“US Default”，按‘回车键’即可，如图所示：
8、在“Enter a root password”界面，这里可以设置管理员密码（默认是用户为root），建议设置一个复杂的密码。如图所示：
9、在“Confirn Install”界面，按‘回车键’即可，如图所示：

12, such as VMware ESXi starts successfully, the system interface installation is complete, you can clearly see the server a variety of information, the information shows the CPU model servers running VMware ESXi 5.5.0 host memory size and management address.
NOTE: In the VMware ESXi 5 or 6, the management console default address via DHCP, there is no network address, such as DHCP or DHCP is not available, this address may be time management console or 169.254.xx. 0.0.0.0 This case needs to be provided and modifications may address management console, so in order to use vSphere Client Manager.
13, press the F2 key, enter a password to enter the IP address configuration, DNS, modify the password information, VLAN and the like.
