Windows Server 2008 R2 install IIS and DNS services

IIS Description: IIS (Internet Information Services), Internet information services, based on Microsoft Windows running Internet basic service provided by Microsoft. IIS is a Web (web) service components, including Web server, FTP server, NNTP server and SMTP server, respectively for terms of web browsing, file transfer, and mail services such as news, it makes the network (including the Internet and LAN) release information has become a very easy thing to do on.

 

IIS version :

  Windows Server 2003、XP:IIS6

  Windows Server 2008、Win7:IIS7.0

 

DNS Description: DNS (Domain the Name System), the Domain Name System, an Internet service. It acts as a distributed database of domain names and IP addresses will be mapped each other, it can make it easier to access the Internet. DNS uses TCP and UDP port 53. Currently, for every level domain name length limit is 63 characters, the total length of the domain name can not be more than 253 characters.

 

Install IIS :

Click the Start menu next to Server Manager Server Manager or locate open the Start menu à management tools.

 

Server Manager role to find a bar, and then click Add Roles Wizard entered

 

Check the default will skip this page and then click Next before you start.

 

Check the DNS server role Server and Web Server (IIS), and then click Next.

 

DNS server and Web Server (IIS) point directly to the next step.
