KDE Plasma runs on Linux, Unix and FreeBSD operating systems above free graphic work environment, the system uses are TrollTech company developed Qt libraries. 5.17 beta version has been released, highlights are as follows:
- The new default font rendering mode Slight RGB hinting
- Faster startup
- The new panel is provided, apparatus for processing Thunderbolt
- Breeze theme for Chromium / Chrome browser provides a better appearance, and apply your color scheme GTK and GNOME applications
- There are many KWin window manager and multi-screen HiDPI improved and now supports zooming in on part of Wayland
- When screen sharing, Plasma screen mode is automatically enabled
- Notification widget to replace an icon
- Better support for public WiFi login
- A variety of other settings have also been improved and repair
