GNOME 3.36 stable version is scheduled for release in March next year

The latest GNOME release, code-named "Thessaloniki" the  3.34 version, the next stable version 3.36 has also been put on the agenda.

According to  GNOME wiki official release plan on, GNOME 3.36 will be released on March 11th 2020. Prior to this, 3.35.x will be as unstable development series for testing and eventually reach a stable version. This is because the version number of the parity characteristics GNOME - only even-numbered version is stable version, the odd minor version marks the development of the state.

The first GNOME 3.36 development snapshot, namely GNOME 3.35.1, scheduled for release on October 12, 2019. The second development snapshot of GNOME 3.35.2 will be released November 23, 2019.

Next More notably, in early February next year will be the first test version of GNOME 3.36, the second test version will be released in 2020. February 15 after this two weeks.

Happened in 2020 is a leap year, so next year will launch February 29 only GNOME 3.36 release candidate.

The final stable version of GNOME 3.36 release is scheduled for 11 March 2020. Then 3.36.x series version will appear.
