Ubuntu18.04vm virtualization nanny level installation tutorial, universal for 20.04

Since CVE-2020-15257 appears in version 20 and an error is reported, I just want to make an installation tutorial for version 18.04~

1. Download the ISO image from the official website:

Official website address: Download Ubuntu Desktop | Download | Ubuntu

After downloading, find a place to put it:

2. Start the installation after downloading

Open the vm and right-click to create a new virtual machine. The 16 vm used here:

Just click along the pictures~

Try not to put it on the C drive. Of course, if you have enough space, feel free~

It depends on the performance of the machine u. It is recommended that 2 cores and 2 threads are enough.

Again, it’s the performance of the machine, 2g is enough

It’s better to follow the recommendation

2.1 Select the original image

Just find the location of the ios file just now

3. Enter the Ubuntu graphical interface to continue the installation.

Select Chinese from the drop-down menu, click Install Ubuntu, select Chinese for keyboard layout, and select Minimize Installation.

Clear the disk to install Ubuntu, click Install and continue

Select a location and fill in your password and username. Click Continue. This may take some time.

The process may take a long time. After it is completed, restart your Ubuntu and you will get a brand new virtual Ubuntu. Refuse to update.

 4. Install tools to improve the user experience

Why install this thing?

Improve mouse movement, go full screen, and more, this service passes information between the host and guest operating systems.

sudo apt upgrade

sudo apt install open-vm-tools-desktop -y

sudo reboot

Enter the terminal and execute it in sequence
