LibreOffice 7.6 Community Edition has been officially released .
Beginning in 2024, The Documentation Foundation (TDF) will adopt a calendar-based version number for LibreOffice. So the next big release will be LibreOffice 24.2 in February 2024 .
major changes
- Support for zoom gestures when using the touchpad in the main view
- Support for OOXML files created in Zip64 format
- Supports selection of different themes for documents, as well as import and export of ODF and OOXML document theme definitions
- Many improvements to font handling, especially for right-to-left scripts, CJK and other Asian letters
- PDF export is now performed according to the PDF v1.7 specification by default, and generates tags by default
- Optimize the "Recently Opened Documents" UI, giving priority to displaying the 5 most recently modified documents
- Improve predefined outline styles under en_US option
- Support for more flexible generation of diagrams based on paragraph styles
