The Scopus official website has recently updated the journal catalog for July. This update is for July 2023. Compared with the last update (June 2023), 5 journals are no longer included (Discontinued titles July 2023). The details are as follows:

• Similarities between SCOPUS and SCI :
Simply put, they are all literature databases, which are a kind of retrieval tool.
• Differences between SCOPUS and SCI :
1. Different data collection: Scopus has a wider scope of content than SCI
Scopus has now included more than 20,000 journals, and the catalog of journals included in SCI has been updated to retrieve a total of 9,491 journals
2. Different indicators: SCI is a simple indicator, Scopus is a multivariate indicator
The simple indicators of SCI/SSCI mainly refer to divisions and impact factors; while SCOPUS uses multiple indicators, such as citation classification, document indicators, and researcher indicators, for users to evaluate the impact of documents and journals from different perspectives for research documents, journals, and researchers academic output of research.
