Update of EI Journal Catalog in June 2023
Elsevier's official website recently updated the EI journal catalog. This update is on June 1, 2023. Compared with the last update (February 2023), there are 3 journal titles searched in the Serials (continuous publishing) list Less than, among them, 1 journal cannot be searched for unknown reasons, and 2 journals have been discontinued (DISCONTINUED) .

When catalogs such as SCI/SSCI are updated, journals are often dropped (Dropped) or stopped for retrieval (Ceased) for different reasons. When journals are dropped (Dropped) or stopped for retrieval (Ceased), the SCI/SSCI database will no longer Articles published since then are included.

03. Journals are suppressed (Suppressed)
Journals being suppressed are not excluded from the Web of Science Core Collection, because suppressed journals refer to journals with excessive self-citation or citation stacking, in order to ensure the fairness of journal citation reports, so these journals will still remain in the core collection, but It will not publish its current journal impact factor and 5-year impact factor.

If you enter the name of an SCI journal, but the journal cannot be found on the website, there may be two situations:
01. To change the name of the journal, you can try to enter the ISSN number at this time. Sometimes the journal will change the journal name or ISSN number at the same time. In this case, neither the old name nor the old ISSN number of the journal can be searched on this website. You can first go to the browser to find the new name or new ISSN number of the journal, and then search. Confirm whether the new title of the journal is normally included in the SCI journal catalog.
02. Journals were removed from the Clarivate Analytics database (Dropped), and are no longer included in any database under Clarivate Analytics, so they cannot be queried.
