1 Introduction
-
The ArmSoM team will conduct several professional functional tests and performance stress tests on the product before mass production to ensure the quality and stability of the product
-
Excellent products must undergo rigorous multiple comprehensive functional tests and performance stress tests before they can stand the test of the market
-
This article summarizes the ArmSoM-W3 high temperature test of RK3588 platform production test
2. ArmSoM-W3 High Temperature Test Solution
- Perform 2000 software system restart tests in a high temperature environment of 70°C
- Perform 2000 times of power plug-in and hardware restart test in a high temperature environment of 70°C
- High-intensity operation for 24 hours in a high-temperature environment of 70°C
3. 70℃ high temperature software restart test
-
Test principle: The ArmSoM-W3 development board is placed in a high temperature environment of 70°C for 2000 software system restart tests to observe whether the development board can start normally.
-
Test time: May 9, 2023 at 9:55 – May 10 at 13:50
-
Test tools: 6 serial ports, 6 development boards (one green core board, five blue core boards), power supply, computer, HDMI cable and display
-
Test steps:
- Prepare 5 ArmSoM-W3 development boards, all connected to the serial port and power supply, and put them all in the incubator
- Open the MobaXterm software to record the log print of the test period
- The temperature of the incubator is raised to 70°C for 4 hours to see if it can be turned on normally; after 15 minutes of shutdown, turn on the power and turn it on again, and the cycle is 2000 times. See if the development board can start normally.
- According to the log printing, check how many times the RK3588 - ArmSoM-W3 development board is actually turned on and off, and check whether there is any abnormality during the power supply of the development board.
-
Test results: After 1000 software restarts, all 5 development boards are running normally.
4. 70℃ high temperature power plug and plug hardware restart test
-
Test principle: ArmSoM-W3 development board is placed in a high temperature environment of 70°C for 2000 times of power plug and hardware restart test, and observe whether the development board starts abnormally.
-
Test time: 17:52, May 10, 2023 – 9:02, May 12, 2023
-
Test tools: serial port, 6 development boards (one green core board, five blue core boards), timer (automatic power off, power on)
-
Test software: MobaXterm software records the log printing during the test period, and saves the log data.
-
Test steps:
- Prepare 5 pieces of ArmSoM-W3 development boards, connect the timer power supply, and connect the serial port to the computer. Put it all in the incubator
- Open the MobaXterm software to record the log print of the test period
- The timer sets the startup time of the development board to 25 seconds and the shutdown time to 10 seconds.
-
Test results: 1,000 times of hardware power-off restart, the difference between the number of power-on and off times is within the error range, and the hardware restart test found no abnormalities.
5. 70℃ high temperature operation test
-
Test principle: ArmSoM-W3 development board is placed in a high-temperature environment of 70°C for 24 hours with high intensity, and observe whether the operation of the development board is abnormal.
-
Test time: 9:55, May 13, 2023 – 13:50, May 14, 2023
-
Test tools: 6 serial ports, 6 development boards (one green core board, five blue core boards), power supply, computer, HDMI cable and display
-
Test steps:
- Prepare 5 ArmSoM-W3 development boards, all connected to the serial port and power supply, and put them all in the incubator
- The development boards are all connected to the serial port, and the log printed by the serial port is saved when the machine is turned on and off.
- Heat the temperature of the incubator to 70°C to keep the value for 4 hours, start the high-performance software to run, and check whether the development board is abnormal during operation.
- Check whether the RK3588-ArmSoM-W3 development board is abnormal during operation according to the log printing
-
Test results: After 24 hours of high-temperature and high-intensity operation at 70°C, the five development boards are all operating normally.
