After the boot disk is created, you need to modify the U disk drive letter to COS7 (because the corresponding boot drive letter needs to be modified when the server is started), so that the server can be started from the U disk conveniently.
3. Start the server and make related settings
-
Modify the startup item to make the server start from the U disk (press break at startup to view the startup options of different brands of servers), F12 in the figure below is the shortcut key for the startup options of Lenovo servers
-
After entering, select the corresponding U disk boot item
-
After entering, move the cursor to the Install CentOS option
-
Press e on the keyboard to edit the relevant startup options, and modify the corresponding startup drive letter to the U disk drive letter
-
After modification, press ctrl+x to enter startup
-
After entering the installer, configure according to the default language
-
After entering the configuration interface, you need to configure and partition the hard disk first
-
Enter the relevant partition interface, select the corresponding hard disk (if not found, you need to check whether the relevant server RAID is normal) generally we need to delete the original partition, and then re-partition
-
Select the manual partition option, click Done in the upper left corner to enter the manual partition interface
-
Click the system automatic partition option (blue text with links) to perform automatic partitioning
-
Delete the generated / /home partition. After the deletion is complete, manually create the / directory and allocate all the remaining space to /
To delete the corresponding partition, select the relevant partition and click the - sign to delete it; to create a partition, click the + sign directly to create a partition
- After the creation is complete, click done in the upper left corner, and after the dialog box pops up, click Accept changes to make the relevant partitions take effect
- Select the NETWORK & HOSTNAME option to configure the relevant server and hostname
- Select the corresponding network card name, click the configure option, and configure the corresponding IP address
- Enable the network card corresponding to the configuration
- If you see the information on the right, the configuration is successful.
- In the lower left corner, configure the corresponding host name according to the on-site server. After the configuration is complete, you need to click apply
- After the configuration is complete, click Begin Installation
- Set the server ROOT password, create a new admin user, and set a unified password for later management
- Add the admin user to the administrator group
- Wait for the server installation to complete, then click Reboot
- After starting, enter the relevant user name and password to log in (due to CentOS security factors, you cannot see it when entering the password)
4. Modify the network command after booting
- Modify IP
vi /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eno1
- view ip
ip a | more
The server installed through the above is the default minimal installation without a graphical interface.
