About the author: something to say

I have been a game lover since I was a child. When I was four years old, red and white computers were popular. My father bought one under the pressure of my mother. Nintendo’s Mario, KONAMI’s Contra, Red Fortress, and all kinds of NPCs in 1 cassette, and then arcade machines became popular (Street Fighter, King of Fighters, Warriors of the Three Kingdoms, Journey to the West, Legend of Shi'er, Double Dragon), and since then I have fallen in love with games, but I just love playing.

In 1994, I started to play PC games, such as Red Alert, Jedi Storm, Duke Nukem, StarCraft that can be played online, Legend of Jin Yong Heroes, Fantasy Journey to the West, Legend of Cao Cao, and Legend of Sword and Fairy, which I will never forget. If you don't look back, why don't you forget, if you don't have a fate, why make an oath. All kinds of things today are like water without traces. Tomorrow and night, you are at the end of the road.

It seems that a door has opened to me. Games are different from watching TV. Games are more immersive, and the characters in games are vivid. The twists and turns of the plot, interesting puzzles, and various types of knowledge slowly infected me. Then I started to buy all kinds of game CDs, 3 yuan a piece, 5 yuan a piece, and 10 yuan a little better. Some are single games, some are two-in-one, and some are four-in-one. Slowly, I found that almost every game has a logo in front of it saying XX studio, XX team, and XX company. At that time, children would be asked a question, what are you going to do when you grow up? I don't want to be a scientist, I don't want to be a pilot, I just want to make a game that everyone loves to play.

At that time, I was very ignorant, and the absurd ideal of making games was not accepted by my family at the time. By accident, I chose a university major that I thought was related to games-network engineering, and then... I became a Java student. Software siege lion. Although it is not a game, programming can still bring me pleasure. This pleasure can drive me to write code all night, or even sleep four times in 7 days and sleep once in 3 days. From the beginning of mobile telecommunications, to the later State Grid and China Southern Power Grid, he gradually became a senior software development boss. But I found that I still couldn't forget that ideal, the game dream that was rooted in my bones. So, in 2019, I officially resigned, gave up my high salary, and devoted myself to the embrace of the game industry.

In the past three years, I have learned a lot of knowledge about game development, game engines: COCOS, Unity, Unreal. Art related: Photoshop, 3D Max, maya, bodypainter, Substance Painter. There are many other miscellaneous tools such as NodeJs, Python, and Dragonbones. I also deliberately learned about the game industry, read the organizational structure of the game industry in a comparative way, and also learned about the types of games, major game companies and their works, as well as all aspects of game production and communication between links. In order to design a better plot, I also studied a lot of history, humanities, technology and other aspects. I also registered a company, made a few small games, and experienced the whole process of the game from idea to official launch.

I personally have a good vision for games, and I don't really want to entrap teenagers just to make money. In my opinion, a good game can make people learn something. For example, Xianjian and Xuanyuanjian made me more interested in Chinese culture. The era of great navigation also made me understand a lot of world geography and humanities. Games such as Knowledge, Age of Empires, and Civilization series can help people understand the history of human development. Many games are actually educational. Even the EPIC game "while True learn( )" are teaching people what is big data and how to use big data thinking to do things. I hope that the games I make in the future can contribute to the export of Chinese culture, instead of letting young people hold their mobile phones every day to pursue penta kill without gain.

In fact, at the beginning, I just took some notes in a notebook while learning Unity. Later, I found that the restrictions on the notes were too large. I couldn’t adjust the structure, couldn’t quickly query, couldn’t modify the content, and it was inconvenient to write large sections of code. So I thought of my base - QQ space. The study notes I wrote back then were all recorded in the space. When I planned to make Unity notes this time, I chose many platforms, and finally chose CSDN, which I think is the most convenient, and then there is read this article. The advantage of writing articles is that you can force yourself to learn every kind of knowledge thoroughly, otherwise you don’t know much about it, so how can you send it out for everyone to see. I also encountered a lot of interesting things in the process of studying, and sometimes I would not wake up until dawn when I was on top. But no matter what, I believe that these efforts will not be in vain, and one day I will make my own hit game!
