On July 4th, the long-awaited 2023 IJCAI YES (Young Elite Symposium) Youth Elite Academic Conference officially opened at the Putuo Campus of East China Normal University in Shanghai! Professor Zhang Chengqi, vice president of the University of Technology Sydney, consultant of the 2023 IJCAI YES conference, member of the IJCAI Council (2021-2026), chairman of the IJCAI-PRICAI 2024 conference, and Dr. Shao Yilei, secretary-general of the IJCAI-SAIA China Joint Office and chairperson of the 2023 IJCAI YES conference, co-chaired the opening ceremony of the conference.
At the beginning of the opening ceremony, Zhang Ying, deputy director of the Shanghai Economic and Information Commission, made an opening speech to the conference.

Luc De Raedt, a professor at the University of Leuven in Belgium and foreign chairman of the program committee of the 2023 IJCAI YES conference, delivered a speech at the conference.
Professor Luc De Raedt introduced the 54 papers shared at the conference, 15 from IJCAI-21 and 39 from IJCAI-22, all of which were strictly selected and considered diversity.
