The TIOBE July list has been released, and this month's programming language list has finally changed.
C++ and C Gap Narrowing
After C++ overtook Java for the first time in TIOBE history a few months ago, it hasn't dropped below the top three.
But the rise of C++ has not stopped because of this, and C seems to be its next challenge. Now, the gap between 11.56% C and 10.80% C++ is only 0.76%.
In addition, there are some other changes in the top 20 of this month's list.
▶ JavaScript climbed to an all-time high: No. 6.
▶ Matlab, Scratch, and Rust also returned to their all-time highs, taking 10th, 12th, and 17th positions respectively.
▶ After a long time, COBOL has re-entered the top 20 list, and Julia is also approaching.
▶ SQL (9→8) and PHP (8→9) are swapped.
