On June 11, the 2023 Open Atom Global Open Source Summit officially kicked off. With the theme of "Open Source Empowerment, Inclusive Future", this summit set up an opening ceremony and summit forum, more than 20 sub-forums, and an exhibition of open source achievements and key projects. In the main forum of the summit, Sun Wenlong, chairman of the Open Atom Open Source Foundation, and various units jointly proposed to launch the Cloud Native Working Committee.

The Cloud Native Working Committee will explore the innovation of cloud native technology by building an open source and open cloud native technology ecosystem, promote the development of cloud native technology in China, and empower the digital transformation of thousands of industries.

Open source is fundamental to basic software. Cloud + open source will jointly become the root of the digital world. ACK Distro  is a Kubernetes release version launched in a heterogeneous IaaS environment to better meet the needs of customers deploying Kubernetes clusters in data centers, so that enterprises can enjoy the same security and reliability as Alibaba Cloud Container Service ACK on their own infrastructure. enterprise-level capabilities. Its core components have experienced large-scale production and application of tens of thousands of external customers. It has industry-leading security and reliability, supports multiple chip architectures and heterogeneous hardware environments, and ensures that ACK Distro can run on diverse infrastructures. Through ACK Distro, enterprises can enjoy the same safe and reliable enterprise-level Kubernetes clusters as Alibaba Cloud Container Service ACK on their own infrastructure before deciding to migrate their business to the public cloud, and through Alibaba Cloud Distributed Container Cloud The platform ACK One experiences unified cloud-native capabilities. Cloud native application scaffolding is based on the Spring Initializr project, supports multiple engineering architectures, provides code sample fragments, richer components, and a more open ecosystem. It is committed to providing developers with a simpler and more efficient project construction experience in the current cloud-native era.

Cloud native application scaffolding is built based on Spring's open source intializr project. Compared with start.spring.io scaffolding, cloud-native application scaffolding can not only help users manage dependencies, but more importantly, help users generate tests or code snippets that can be used directly, allowing users to test after creating a project. After completion, the project can be developed based on the sample code. Therefore, building a project based on cloud-native application scaffolding only needs to be completed: creating a new project and running tests, which greatly improves the efficiency of new projects.

At present, Alibaba Cloud's open source mainly covers the four major areas of cloud native, operating system, big data & AI, and database. It is the initiator of representative open source projects such as Apache Dubbo, Apache RocketMQ, KubeVela, and Flink, and is also the founder of Linux, MySQL, Redis, and JVM. Core contributors and maintainers of well-known open source projects such as , Kubernetes, Containerd, and Envoy. In terms of distributed application architecture, Alibaba Cloud has open sourced a complete distributed framework and components to help developers solve the implementation problems of distributed applications.

It uses traffic as an entry point to protect the stability of services from multiple dimensions such as traffic control, circuit breaker degradation, and system load protection.
