1. Configure the network

1. Modify the computer name, IP, and DNS of the secondary domain controller (pointing to the primary domain controller)

2. Add domain controller

1. Add roles and functions

Keep the default, the next step

2. Promote the server to a domain control server

Since this one is to be used as an auxiliary domain controller, here you need to choose to add the domain controller to the existing domain;

Specifies that the domain information for this operation is to select an existing domain;

Provide the credentials required to do this are a domain administrator account that can log into the domain;

Check the domain name system (DNS) server and global catalog, keep the default site name, and enter the DSRM password (it is recommended to be the same as the DRSM of the main domain);

Ignore the warning and continue with the installation

 Specify other replication options and select the primary domain; because this is a secondary domain controller, the information on this server needs to be synchronized with the primary domain, so here you must choose to replicate from the primary domain

 The default path is fine, the next step

Remember: the server will be restarted after the installation is complete

3. Verification

After the reboot is complete, log in with a domain account

You can see that there are AD DS and DNS on the server manager, which proves that our auxiliary domain controller has been created.

You can click to view all information of the current domain;
