Today I will share with you how to install and uninstall FineReport: Link to FineReport official website
1. Overview

2. Designer Download
1) Open the FineReport official website, select Product > Product Download at the top of the page, and enter the FineReport installation package download page. As shown below:
2) The installation package download page provides four versions of the installation package. Please choose to download the corresponding version of the installation package according to your system. Here we take the Windows 64-bit system as an example to download the Windows 64-bit version of the installation package to the local. As shown below:
3. Designer installation
Note: It is recommended to use 16GB memory + 250GB solid state + quad-core i5 or above CPU to install the designer, which will have a relatively smooth use effect and design experience.
1) Double-click the FineReport installation file, and the installation wizard will be loaded. After the installation wizard is loaded, the FineReport installer wizard dialog box will pop up. As shown below:
2) Click Next to pop up the license agreement dialog box, select I accept the agreement. As shown below:
3) Click Next, a dialog box for selecting the installation directory will pop up, click Browse, and select the FineReport installation directory. As shown below:
Note: It is not recommended to install FineReport Designer on the system disk.
4) Click Next, and a dialog box for setting the maximum memory will pop up. The maximum JVM memory defaults to 2048M, which is 2G. It is recommended that you set the maximum JVM memory to above 2G. It should be noted that the maximum JVM memory cannot exceed the maximum memory of the machine. As shown below:
5) Click Next, and the Select Start Menu Folder dialog box will pop up, select it according to your needs. As shown below:
6) Click Next, and the Select Additional Work dialog box will pop up, select it according to your needs. As shown below:

7) Click Next, and the Select File Association dialog box will pop up. After checking these two options, all future files with suffixes of FRM and CPT will be opened by FineReport Designer by default. As shown below:
Note: The frm suffix file is the decision report designed by FineReport, and the cpt suffix file is the ordinary report or aggregation report designed by FineReport.
8) Click Next, and a dialog box of completing the FineReport installation program will pop up. If you check Run Product Demo and click Finish, FineReport Designer will automatically start and pop up the decision system setting page. Uncheck Run Product Demo and click Finish, the designer will not start automatically. As shown below:
4. Start the designer
Double-click the desktop shortcut of FineReport Template Designer to start the designer.

5. Designer Activation
If FineReport Designer is installed on your machine for the first time, after starting the designer, a product activation dialog box will pop up. As shown below:
Click the Get Activation Code button, it will jump to the activation code acquisition page, log in Fanruan Pass, jump to the first activation page, click Get Now, after filling in the information, click the Activate button, the activation code will be automatically displayed on the web page , click Copy, paste the activation code in the cell of the activation dialog box, and finally click the Use Designer button to activate the designer.
In addition, you can also directly call the business phone 400-811-8890 to obtain the activation code.

6. Designer uninstall
Run uninstall.exe as an administrator under the designer installation directory %FR_HOME%\.
When the uninstallation window pops up, click Next. As shown below:
Designers installed before 2019-01-15 retain user data by default when uninstalling.
For designers installed on or after 2019-01-15, you can choose whether to delete user data when uninstalling, as shown in the following figure:
Click Next and wait for the uninstallation to complete. As shown below:
After the uninstallation is complete, the FineReport uninstallation complete window will pop up, just click Finish. As shown below:
