In order to promote the practice teaching of data mining in colleges and universities in our province, cultivate students’ application and innovation ability of data mining, increase school-enterprise exchanges and cooperation and information sharing, and improve the teaching quality and quality of colleges and universities in our province. . There are three questions in the competition, and students can choose one of them to participate.
        2. Students register for the competition in their own name, or they can participate in teams, but each team must have no more than 3 members (must belong to the same school). The organizer does not impose specific restrictions on the grades and majors of the contestants. All grades and majors can sign up. The competition is mainly aimed at undergraduates, college students and postgraduates, and they will be treated differently when judging.
        3. Contestants must agree to the relevant rules of the competition established by the competition organizing committee. When applying, fill in the real name, team name, instructor, department, mobile phone, mailing address and other information required by the registration page, so as to verify the identity and issue the prize. The Competition Organizing Committee guarantees that the collected personal information of students will only be used for competition-related work and will not be disclosed or leaked. Competition papers will not be published without the consent of the authors.
        4. The instructor can be the teacher of the school or can be appointed by the student.
        5. Participants should join the Q—Q group (Teddy Cup Data Mining Contest, 295026770). When adding a group, please add the information “Data Mining Contest”.         6. There is no fee for this competition.
4. Competition Registration
The competition registration steps are as follows:
1. Register as a member on the National College Student Data Competition website (http://www.tipdm.org);
        2. Log in to the National College Student Data Competition website;
        3. Enter the Member Center;
        4. Click "Competition List" on the left;
        5. In the operation column of "The 3rd Teddy Cup National College Student Data Mining Competition", sign up for the competition.

5. Competition time arrangement
The competition time arrangement is as follows:
1. Registration time: April 1, 2015 - May 13, 2015
        2. Question opening time: April 2015 1st
        3. Contest time: May 14th, 2015------May 24th, 2015
        4. Review time: May 25th, 2015------May 28th, 2015
        5. Award time: To be determined, including commentary on the competition topic

6. Technical support
Teddy Technology will provide technical support for this data mining competition. Data mining requires the use of professional software platforms, such as IBM's SPSS Modeler (formerly known as SPSS' Clementine), SAS's Entelprise Miner, and the open source software Weka developed by the University of Waikato in New Zealand. The TipDM data mining platform provided by the technology.

7. Submission of works
1. The competition requires submission of papers and related data. For details, please read the test question requirements and descriptions of each competition question carefully.
2. The submission of works is unified through the competition platform. Submission steps: Login>Member Center->Competition List->Competition List Operation Bar (the far right side of the 3rd Teddy Cup National College Student Data Mining Competition)->Submit Work.

Paper review The main points of the paper review: completeness of data preprocessing, understanding of background issues in related fields, objectivity of mining model evaluation, innovation of model application, correctness of results, and clarity of written description.

9. Award-winning awards
The award-winning methods of this "Teddy Cup National College Student Data Mining Competition" are as follows:
1. Those who complete the requirements of qualified thesis report will get a certificate of successful participation.
2. Excellent Paper Award: A certificate of honor for the Teddy Cup Excellent Paper Award.
3. One special prize will be awarded in the form of thesis defense, which will be judged from the first and second prizes. A certificate of honor for the special prize of the Teddy Cup Data Mining Competition will be awarded, and a scholarship of 3,000 yuan will be provided. (1 group)
4. The first prize: about 3%, a certificate of honor for the Teddy Cup Data Mining Competition, and a scholarship of 1,000 yuan.
5. Second prize: about 5%, a certificate of honor for the Teddy Cup Data Mining Competition, and a scholarship of 500 yuan.
6. The third prize: about 10%, a certificate of honor for the Teddy Cup Data Mining Competition, and a souvenir worth 200 yuan.
7. The winners of the special prize, first, second and third prizes will have priority to get internship and recommended job opportunities at Teddy Technology. Those with outstanding internships will be given priority to sign contracts.
