Mind map layout
The new Mind Map auto-layout algorithm is used to create non-linear hierarchical maps arranged around a central idea or theme.
new scroll mode
DevExpress Diagram comes with a new scroll mode that, when enabled, will only show scroll bars when eg table content is not fully visible (regardless of the current page size).
Enhanced binding operations
The binding mechanism of DevExpress Diagram has been updated with the following new features:
- Two-way synchronization between charts and data sources: You can customize synchronization using events.
- Binding to hierarchical data: Containers are now used to represent multiple levels of hierarchies.
Enhance SVG
DevExpress Diagram v17.2 comes with a new SVG rendering engine and extended support for various SVG elements. Also, you can now override the default colors used for two-color SVG images.
Enhanced API - New Notification event
In this release, we implemented new events that fire in response to various user actions:
- move, copy and modify chart items;
- change shape connector;
- Use chart tools, etc...
Handle these events to override default actions and limit end-user actions.
DPI Awareness
Support DirectX hardware acceleration
DevExpress WinForms Data Grid and WinForms Cell Editors can now use DirectX hardware acceleration, allowing you to deliver great performance on high DPI devices. To activate DirectX painting, call the static WindowsFormsSettings.ForceDirectXPaint method.
DPI aware image collection
With the new DPIAwareImageCollection component, blurry icons will no longer be a problem on Hi-DPI screens. This component automatically provides images to linked controls based on the screen DPI setting.
The built-in designer allows you to set up components by adding DPI-specific versions of individual images.
