Abstract: Recently, many people have inquired about the product functions of the Alibaba Cloud Short Video SDK and how to access it. Today, we interviewed the technical students responsible for the short video SDK and listened to him introduce products and technical capabilities.
Interviewee: Wang Haihua, senior technical expert, responsible for technology research and development related to Alibaba's video cloud.
Q: What do you think short videos are?
I don't know if everyone knows about short videos? Many people mention short videos and they will say WeChat small videos, Meipai, and Miaopai. In fact, they are the representatives of short videos. From a more comprehensive perspective, short videos should be from the following dimensions: suitable for dissemination on mobile terminals, suitable for users to watch and forward in fragmented time, and the time is between a few seconds to a few minutes a form of content.
There are several data, the number of short video users is 153 million, which will increase to 250 million in 2017, and the viewing time is as long as 30 minutes per day.Many live broadcast and social platforms seen in the market have added short video functions. It can be seen that short videos have become the standard of many APPs.
Q: Why do you think short videos are popular?
A: I think short videos are so popular in the capital market and consumer market. From the following perspectives>, from the perspective of user needs and social changes, users can use short videos to play anytime, anywhere, without restrictions. From the perspective of user consumption, the reasonable duration of short videos mobilizes users’ free time, and the richer and intuitive content is more in line with our reading needs; from the development trend of Internet content From the point of view, the interactivity and real-time nature tend to be more obvious. From text, to pictures to videos, this is the only way for the development of Internet content; from the perspective of hardware and software, network popularization and tariff reduction, hardware improvement and The technology is perfect, so that the application of short video has a good soil;
Another very important factor is that the continuous innovation of short video products has launched the development of the entire industry, such as breakpoint shooting, music, MV, special effects and other functions, which has enriched the content creation forms and lowered the user's production threshold. More personal creativity can be exerted, so the form of short video is sought after by more and more users.
Q: What does your team do?
A：我们做的是短视频SDK，定位是让短视频的接入更方便快捷。为了提供功能易用和丰富素材的SDK。核心能力包括拍摄、导入裁剪、编辑这几个模块。
Q：SDK的技术架构和特点是什么？
A：从技术角度来讲SDK架构，分为四个层面，底层拆分成一个一个组件，在这些组件上组建自己的业务组件，包括编辑和播放。在这之上，我们再提供比较稳定恩UI控件。这个架构有几个特点，我们提供产品级别的DEMO，用户可以不做任何修改直接上线，SDK的易用性比较强。底层是高度模块化的，开发者可以根据不同的业务场景来按需求打包，控制包的大小。
Q：阿里云短视频SDK号称最快1天接入，那在接入时开发者是怎么操作的？
A：打个比方，短视频SDK中最重要的录制模块，如果开发者对视频比较了解，非常清楚自己的需求，把参数配置进去，就可以自定义视频的分辨率、比例、录制时长、视频质量关键帧间隔等。
我们也提供了最优的解决方案，如果追求的是简单、快，只是想集成一个类似秒拍、美拍的能力，也可以通过下面这两行代码直接接入。
Q：那现在很多APP都是已经有自己的UI交互风格和规范了，这种情况该如何处理呢？
A：这点我们也有所考虑，关于UI开源方面，我们也做了大量的尝试，提供了130多个openAPI，10几个自定义的UI组件，标准版是接受布局、交互、界面可二次开发的，如果产品本身的UED对我们提供的UI不满意，想要个性化的交互，那可以选择开源的版本接入。下图就是原始SDK的UI和自定义之后的UI对比，第一个是DEMO的UI，第二个和第三个是客户自定义的UI。
Q：短视频SDK现在是分为几个版本呢？
A：现在短视频SDK分为三个大版本，基础版、标准版和专业版。基础版和标准版功能基本一致，区分在UI开源和UI不开源，专业版包含人脸识别、动态贴纸等更多功能。后续更多功能在计划开发之中。现在已经支持手机端DEMO体验，并且在购买了相应的视频点播套餐后可以获取授权和接入。
