Q: What do you think short videos are?
I don't know if everyone knows about short videos? Many people mention short videos and they will say WeChat small videos, Meipai, and Miaopai. In fact, they are the representatives of short videos. From a more comprehensive perspective, short videos should be from the following dimensions: suitable for dissemination on mobile terminals, suitable for users to watch and forward in fragmented time, and the time is between a few seconds to a few minutes a form of content.
There are several data, the number of short video users is 153 million, which will increase to 250 million in 2017, and the viewing time is as long as 30 minutes per day.Many live broadcast and social platforms seen in the market have added short video functions. It can be seen that short videos have become the standard of many APPs.
Q: Why do you think short videos are popular?
A: I think short videos are so popular in the capital market and consumer market. From the following perspectives>, from the perspective of user needs and social changes, users can use short videos to play anytime, anywhere, without restrictions. From the perspective of user consumption, the reasonable duration of short videos mobilizes users’ free time, and the richer and intuitive content is more in line with our reading needs; from the development trend of Internet content From the point of view, the interactivity and real-time nature tend to be more obvious. From text, to pictures to videos, this is the only way for the development of Internet content; from the perspective of hardware and software, network popularization and tariff reduction, hardware improvement and The technology is perfect, so that the application of short video has a good soil;
Another very important factor is that the continuous innovation of short video products has launched the development of the entire industry, such as breakpoint shooting, music, MV, special effects and other functions, which has enriched the content creation forms and lowered the user's production threshold. More personal creativity can be exerted, so the form of short video is sought after by more and more users.
Q: What does your team do?
A: What we are doing is the short video SDK, and the positioning is to make the access of short videos more convenient and fast. In order to provide an easy-to-use and rich material SDK. The core capabilities include shooting, importing and cropping, and editing modules.
Q: What are the technical architecture and features of the SDK?
A: From a technical point of view, the SDK architecture is divided into four levels. The bottom layer is divided into components one by one. On these components, you can build your own business components, including editing and playback. On top of this, we provide more stable UI controls. This architecture has several characteristics. We provide product-level DEMO, users can go online without any modification, and the SDK is easy to use. The bottom layer is highly modular, and developers can package according to different business scenarios and control the size of the package.
Q: The Alibaba Cloud Short Video SDK claims to be connected in one day at the fastest. How does the developer operate when it is connected?
A: For example, the most important recording module in the short video SDK, if the developer has a good understanding of the video and is very clear about his needs, and configures the parameters into it, he can customize the video resolution, ratio, recording duration, video Quality keyframe interval, etc.

Q: Now many APPs already have their own UI interaction styles and specifications. How to deal with this situation?
A: We have also considered this point. Regarding the open source UI, we have also made a lot of attempts, providing more than 130 openAPIs and more than 10 custom UI components. The standard version accepts layout, interaction, and interface can be secondary If the UED of the product itself is not satisfied with the UI provided by us and you want personalized interaction, you can choose the open source version to access. Q: How many versions of short video SDK are there now?
A: Now the short video SDK is divided into three major versions, the basic version, the standard version and the professional version. The functions of the basic version and the standard version are basically the same, except that the UI is open source and the UI is not open source. The professional version includes more functions such as face recognition and dynamic stickers. More features are planned to be developed in the future.
