Install VMware Tools under the VMWare virtual machine to adjust the size of the desktop

This tutorial is excerpted from Baidu's experience, which is convenient for future use. I would like to thank the author here.

1. After installing VMWare Tools in the virtual machine, it will be more convenient to use. This article mainly explains how to install VMWare Tools.

2. At this time, a line of prompt information will pop up at the bottom of wmware workstation, which indicates how to install the virtual tool. At the same time, the file directory where the virtual tool is located will also pop up.

3. If the file directory where the virtual tool is located is not automatically popped up, it can also be found on the desktop.

4. Copy the file VMwareTools.XXX.tar.gz (the specific name is based on the actual situation) in the file directory where the virtual tool is located, to a directory in the Linux system.

! ! ! Note, be sure to copy the compressed package to another path to decompress, otherwise there will be a file not found error! ! !

5. Open the terminal, enter the copied file directory, and decompress the virtual tool file.

6. Enter the decompressed folder, you can see that there is a file named vmware-install.pl

7. Run the file and press Enter all the way during the installation process. (do not enter yes or no)

Finally, about the virtual system shutdown, in the virtual machine view option, check Fit to host size.
