Windows system Vmware12 minimal installation CentOS6.8

Our computers are generally Windows systems, so when we want to learn Linux knowledge, we need to use a virtual environment. Our approach is to use VMWare to install CentOS to achieve this purpose.

Step 1: Open our VMWare, then click "File" -------> New Virtual Machine (N). Or simply click on "Create a new virtual machine" marked in blue, as shown in the figure below.

Step 2: We use the default option "Custom (Advanced)" and click "Next".

Step 3: Click "Next" directly.

Step 4: In this step, you must select "Install the operating system later (S)", otherwise the subsequent installation will be stuck in one place and cannot proceed, click "Next".

Step 5: Select "Linux" by default, click "Next".

Step 6: The name of the virtual machine is the name you want, and the location needs to create a new folder to store the virtual machine, and click "Next".

Step 7: Use the default configuration and click "Next".

Step 8: Use the default 1G memory (if it is 512M, there is no graphical interface for installation, if it is 256M, it cannot be installed directly), click "Next".

Step 9: Use the default "NAT" mode and click "Next".

Step 10: Use the default configuration and click "Next".

Step 11: Use the default configuration and click "Next".

Step 12: Select the default configuration and click "Next".

Step 13: Select "Save virtual disk as a single file (O)" and click "Next".

Step 14: Don't make any changes, just click "Next".

Step 15: Click "Finish".

Step 16: Download CentOS-6.8-x86_64-minimal.iso, you can download it from http://download.csdn.net/detail/u012453843/9801713. After downloading, I stored it in the G drive, as shown in the figure below.

Step 17: Click "CD/DVD (IDE) Auto Detect", click "CD/DVD (IDE) Auto Detect" in the pop-up dialog box, select "Use ISO Image File (M)" on the right, click "Browse" select the CentOS6.8 minimal installation package we downloaded. Click "OK".

Step 18: Click "Start this virtual machine".

Step 19: You will see the startup information as shown below.

Step 20: The interface shown in the figure below will appear in a while. We need to place the cursor inside the virtual machine (click anywhere in the figure below), then press the Tab key to switch to "Skip", and press the Enter key.

Step 20: After seeing the interface as shown in the figure below, click "Next".

Step 22: Select the language as "Chinese Simplified Chinese", and then click "Next".

Step 23: Select "US English" and click "Next".

Step 24: Use the default configuration and click "Next" directly.

Step 25: Select "Yes, ignore all data (Y)".

Step 26: Host name We fill in the name we want, and then click "Next".

Step 27: Use "Asia/Shanghai" by default, click "Next".

Step 28: The root password is the password of the root user. Enter at least six digits.

Step 29: If the password we set is too simple, a warning box will be prompted as shown in the figure below, we don't need to ignore it and click "Use (U) anyway".

Step 30: Select "Use all space", and then click "Next".

Step 30: Click "Write changes to disk (W)".

Step 32: The installation will begin, the installation process is shown in the figure below.

Step 33: Click "Reboot (t)", the virtual machine will start.

The thirty-fourth step, after the startup, as shown in the figure below, requires us to enter the user name and password to log in. We usually log in as root, and the password is the password we set earlier.

Step 35: After successful login, as shown in the figure below.
