Baidu blockchain original image service platform "Totem" was officially launched on April 11 , 2018 .
According to the official website, "Totem" is upgraded from Baidu's "Yuan" plan. Based on blockchain technology, it can improve the efficiency of the whole chain and allow original authors and picture ecological players to obtain greater benefits.
"Totem" mainly uses the open, transparent and traceable features of the blockchain. It adopts a self-developed blockchain copyright registration network, and cooperates with trusted timestamp and chain stamp double authentication to generate a unique copyright DNA for each original picture . Based on the blockchain image storage system and the entire network copyright monitoring and rights protection tool, combined with image analysis, semantic understanding and other intelligent technologies, it provides full-process copyright protection, multi-channel content distribution and other functions for images. Realize that the dissemination of works can be traced, reprinted, and monitored, and accurately match the content of pictures and user needs, provide efficient connections for both the supply and demand of pictures, solve practical pain points such as industry information asymmetry and low process efficiency, break the old closed model, and finally achieve The ultimate goal of technology-enabled ecology and industry-wide order reconstruction.
