MATLAB Robot Toolbox Simple Tutorial: (1) Installation Instructions

Robotic Toolbook for Matlab is a toolbox specially used for robot simulation in Matlab. It is very convenient to use in robot modeling, trajectory planning, control, and visualization. This article describes how to install the toolbox.

The version used here is robotic toolbox for matlab (release 9.1), which can be downloaded from my network disk

1. Unzip the downloaded compressed package and get a folder named robot-9.10.

rvctools is the Robot Toolbox; pdf and doc files are the instructions.

2. Put the rvctools folder in the toolbox folder in your matlab installation directory.

For example, my matlab is installed on the D drive.

3. Open matlab, my version here is 2016b, set the path,

save and close.

4. Run the startup_rvc.m file in the rvctools folder to complete the installation.
