PMP Exam Preparation

On the 19th, I checked the results and passed 3A. There is nothing to be proud of, because I myself did not spend a lot of time to study systematically. Through long live, later in the work, I have to read more books, and actually apply the methodology in the PMP book to my work.

I signed up at the end of December 2017. At that time, it was mainly influenced by my colleagues and friends. I saw that they all passed the test and boasted with others all day long. So I signed up and passed the test. I guess they weren't so arrogant when they boasted B in front of me.
For office workers, especially for a family like me who has a two-year-old child and no one to take care of the child full-time, study time is too precious. Because it is the end of the year in the company, it is necessary to make a year-end summary and a plan for 2018. , I often work overtime; I basically don’t have time to study at home, and my wife doesn’t really support me in doing anything. When I come back, I have a lot of housework so I can play with my children. Therefore, after signing up until the end of the New Year, I did not study seriously. I read the first few chapters of the book, less than half of the time, the video was often on, and then I went to do other things.
I went to work after the new year. I looked at the time and the exam was less than a month away. I reflected on it. If it goes on like this, I will definitely fail the exam. I usually don’t pay much attention to group news, and I slowly participate in everyone’s discussions. In addition, work is not so busy, so I usually stop working overtime after work, but study in the company for a while, usually until 9:00, and I can study for about 3 hours a day. I analyzed the video, and kept this rhythm for about two weeks. I was able to watch all the videos. At the same time, I got up an hour early in the morning to go to the company to do the questions. On weekends, I could occasionally take out my mobile phone to do the questions. At this rhythm, I persisted for a month. Before the exam, I just finished reading the book, watched the video almost twice, and did the teacher's question twice. The mock exam is between 120 and 130. There are alumni in the group who can reach 150. I am ashamed. I feel that I still have no bottom in my heart.
For the exam, I entered the exam room 1 hour in advance, only to find that I was sitting in the exam room, and the invigilator was not allowed to do anything. Therefore, it is recommended that when you arrive at the exam room in the future, do not go in yet, and you can read the book in the waiting area outside. 200 questions, 4 hours, it took me almost 2.5 hours to hand in the paper, and it took me almost an hour to complete the 100 questions, and then I went to the bathroom. The toilet still didn't work. When I go to the toilet, I think again, if I have a cheat sheet on me, although I can't read it in the exam room, I can read it in the toilet. At the same time, the identity of the PMP supervisor is also a joke. If you are a ×××, you can easily × × × Yeah.
Sure enough, it is when I go to the toilet that I have the biggest brain hole. I also wrote the following opinions on them.
It took a little more than 2 hours to complete the 200 questions. Later, I checked a few questions that were not very confirmed, and then changed about 7 or 8 answers. It was only 11:30 when I saw it. When things are done, they are submitted in advance.
When I was handing in the papers, I saw that other people had done 120 questions, and I thought that I could do it faster, and I was the first one to hand in the papers in our examination room. There are also faster than me. I don't understand English, I read all Chinese. Then he went home for lunch, waited for the results, and did not answer the questions with others.
When I was waiting for the grades, I was very panicked, especially when I saw that someone’s grades had come out on the 17th. The classmates who took the test with me started to issue certificates in the circle of friends, and my colleagues also began to ask me if I passed. And my grades haven't come out yet, I'm really afraid that I can't pass the shame. Fortunately, it finally passed, and then I also sent a circle of friends, my wife rewarded me with 1,000 yuan, and then I went to play mahjong and lost 700.

Speaking of review, I personally think that the review time should not be extended for a long time. If you have time to study every day, it is generally best to finish the exam in one month. The time is too long and it is easy to forget. It is best to have 5 hours of study every day. First, read the book roughly, understand the process chapters, and then watch the teacher's video and do it while watching. The PMP exam questions are generally explained in detail. . The current learning tools are still very advanced, the wrong question book, this function can be used well, do the wrong questions a few times, pay attention, don't find a mistake and do it immediately, it is useless, it is best to wait for a 3 , 4 days later to do the wrong question, the effect is very good.
There are also some very complete summaries of PMP test centers on the Internet. I downloaded a form, a piece of paper, and wrote down all the processes, tools, and input and output of PMP. I printed three copies, one in the car, and one in the bed. I have one in my pocket, take it out and take a look when I have time. It's a pity that I didn't bring it to the examination room in the end, and I can get a few more points if I don't bring it.
Finally, a few suggestions. The learning process should not be too long. It should be about 2 months. You should not forget what you have learned before. In addition to reading books and watching videos, you need to do more questions. Foreigners can also use the question sea tactics to conquer the exam. Another one, after the test is over, no matter what, don't brag about B. To be honest, after the test, you have gained knowledge, but this test is not very difficult.
