Twitter user Lucas Brooks found an Easter egg in Windows 1.0, introduced in 1985: a hidden dialog with a "Congratulations" welcome message and a list of Windows 1.0 developers :
The most notable name on the list is G-fat Gabe Newell, who is now the president of Valve and is known for everything from Half-Life to Steam Deck. From 1983 to 1996, G Fat worked at Microsoft and left to found Valve, during which he participated in the development of the Windows system.
Windows 1.0 was the first version of the Windows operating system, released back in November 1985. According to Brooks, Wondows 1.0's Easter egg was hidden particularly deeply. This hidden dialog was placed in encrypted form at the end of the smiley bitmap file that came with the operating system, but the bitmap was not extracted from NE in 1985. tool, and, even if someone manages to extract the bitmap, they won't notice the extra data at the end.
