Dr. Gong Dong, Lecturer (equivalent to the Assistant Professor of the North American System), School of Computer Science, University of New South Wales (UNSW Sydney), Australia, is recruiting several PhD students in computer vision and machine learning, starting in 2022/2023. Specific research directions can be discussed and discussed within the scope of computer vision and machine learning to find the problems that students are really interested in and can be passionate about.

Possible research directions include but are not limited to: continual/transfer learning (with non-ideal supervision), anomaly/novelty detection, deep neural networks with sparse regularization/memory augmentation, computer vision applications (including image restoration, scene understanding, 3D modeling, etc).
