KDE Frameworks 5.65 release, made more than 200 changes

KDE Project released a new update to its suite of open-source and cross-platform software framework for KDE 5.65, the kit brings many improvements, new features and bug fixes.

KDE Frameworks 5.65 is an open source software suite KDE Plasma desktop environment using updated monthly, between the various components added 200 kinds of changes. It is reported that the release of some of the updates include:

  • Means for system installation directory
  • New Baloo and Search Preferences icon
  • The new document notification procedure KConfig settings
  • The new agreement 7z archive
  • Documentation on the Android profile path
  • KQuickCharts in a new "fast chart" module, for high-performance charts.

Official said, "Quick Chart module provides a set of graphs which can be used from QtQuick applications. They can be used for simple display of data, but also high-capacity data successively displayed (commonly referred to as the plotter). This graph is called from the use of the system field are accelerated rendering, and provides a way to use GPU rendering 2D shapes resulting in no loss of quality. "

KDE Frameworks 5.65 and KDE Plasma 5.17 desktop environment series and Qt 5.12 and Qt 5.13 is compatible with open source application framework.

The next version of KDE Frameworks 5.66 will be launched early next year to market, it will support the upcoming 2020 February 11 release of KDE Plasma 5.18 LTS desktop environment.
