CS5211 design EDP to LVDS conversion reference circuit or EDP to LVDS conversion board reference circuit is as follows:

CS5211 design EDP to LVDS converter or EDP to LVDS transfer board design features are as follows:

The CS5211 will appear in the video source as a DP or eDP receiver device, and will act as an LVDS source device for the LVDS display panel. The device is a fully integrated solution and does not require an external CPU, memory, clock reference or voltage regulator. The CS5211 can be configured to read the EDID from the display DDC channel or from an optional external ROM connected to the CS5211 (providing an I2C host). The external ROM can also include configuration code to customize device operation and interface timing. CS5211 provides display panel power-on sequence and backlight control, including PWM generation. The backlight feature can be controlled by using the video source on the DP AUX channel of the eDP v1.2 DPCD control register. Alternatively, the video source can provide the backlight control signal to the CS5211, and the CS5211 will gate it for panel power-on sequencing, or the video source can bypass the device and directly control the panel backlight.
