Sometimes the desktop computer is suddenly disconnected from the Internet, the network cable is okay, and the notebook is okay. The problem lies in the desktop IP.

Complete solution

1. Connect both ends of the network cable to the laptop and desktop. In the past, you needed to use a crossover cable, but now the network cable seems to be indistinguishable and can be used.

4. In the Ethernet properties of the notebook, write down the ip address and subnet mask.

5. In the Ethernet properties of the desktop computer, the default gateway setting is the same as the ip address above, because the first three digits of the subnet mask are 255. Therefore, the first three digits of the desktop ip address are the same as the gateway, and the latter seems to be arbitrarily set.

6. Most importantly, sometimes the desktop ip is set to be automatically obtained. But sometimes it doesn't work. Regardless of whether it is set by yourself or obtained automatically, the Ethernet ip addresses of the notebook and desktop must be in the 192.168 network segment. Before, everything in front of me was connected, and the desktop did not have a network. It seems that the Ethernet on both sides is not in this network segment. Inside. (If the ip automatically assigned by the notebook is not in this network segment, maybe just disconnect and reconnect?)
