2. Detailed server parameters
Now that you know where the server is purchased, the following notes are detailed explanations of the parameters. Note: The purchase of the server must be purchased on demand. If it is only used for testing, choose pay-as-you-go. If you need a fixed configuration server for a long time, choose The purchase page now has a preemptive example (I don’t know the specific reason, the course is not covered, and I will not discuss it for the time being), and the type must be purchased on demand. If it is simply used to build a small blog, Almost all servers on the official website can be competent
- Memory/hard disk: The essence of the server is a computer, so for the choice of hard disk, memory, and CPU, buy it on demand
- Mirror: Mirror is the system, you can choose Linux, Windows, etc. If it is used to build a website, Linux or its distribution (such as Ubuntu, Centos, Redhat) is recommended, because Linux is more stable, if you don’t have a special understanding of Linux command line operations , Just install a pagoda (visual management tool) by yourself, or you can directly select the application mirror, such as pagoda, WordPress, Typecho (blog program)
- Region: The region is the address where the server room is located. Under the same bandwidth, the closer this place is to where you are, the faster the access will be. If it is used to build a website and the domain name is not recorded, it is recommended to choose the Hong Kong region
- Public IP: The IP of the server here is like the server's portal. When we are not in the server's local area network, the public IP is the address where we access the server. For IPv6, you need to choose the region.
- Bandwidth: Since I haven't finished learning about the network, I don't know how to explain the bandwidth in a popular way. Just know a little bit. The larger the bandwidth, the faster the access. It seems that the pressure on the access will be less
- Security group: Security group can be understood as the setting of access IP and port. The port is equivalent to the key of each door of the server. Although IP can only be compared to a door, each port is like a key, and different ports are opened. The application scenarios are different. For example, port 22 is the server's SSH connection, 80 is HTTP access, 443 is HTTPS (encrypted) access, 8888 is the default access port of the pagoda, etc., and more can be set on demand, remember 0.0.0/0
