Project Practice | Alibaba Cloud "Lightweight Application Server" migrates business to Alibaba Cloud "ECS" and achieves elastic scaling of the business

1. Project requirements description

  Initially, the number of visits to the project was very small, and the project was deployed on Alibaba Cloud's lightweight application server. However, as business concurrency gradually increases, the current lightweight application server cannot meet business needs and needs to be expanded. However, the background of this project is the live broadcast business. The concurrency of the platform during non-live broadcast periods is about 1,000, and the concurrency during live broadcast periods is about 10,000. Therefore, it is necessary to migrate the lightweight application server business to ECS, adjust the hardware resource configuration of ECS, and finally configure elastic scaling to meet business needs.
  The Pagoda panel system used in the project is deployed in a lightweight application server.

When using elastic scaling, you must not deploy the database service in ECS. You must use a separate database product from Alibaba Cloud. Because when using elastic scaling, the database will also be released when the instance is released. If it is deployed in an ECS instance, this will cause data loss. .

2. Migrate lightweight application server to ECS

IP addresses cannot be exchanged between lightweight application servers and ECS.
