2019 Intelligent Connected Vehicle Technology Conference | C-V2X technology development will accelerate the pace of Internet of Vehicles commercial

On the morning of December 28, the C-V2X technology research and development and practice seminar of the 2019 Intelligent Connected Vehicle Technology Conference was held at the Prince Mingshi Hotel in Huangpu, Guangzhou. The theme of this forum is "Accelerating the Commercial Pace of Internet of Vehicles". Yan Yan, Deputy General Manager of China Unicom Smart Network Technology South China, Guo Panshi, Dean of NavInfo Synergy Research Institute, He Ning, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Jinyi Technology, Wu Dongsheng, vice president of Gosuncn Technology Group Co., Ltd., Zhu Gang, assistant general manager of Wanji Technology, and Shi Weixing, expert of Huali Zhixing, and other experts and business representatives attended the seminar. The meeting was attended by Professor Zhu of Tongji University School of Automotive Safety and Director of Automotive Safety Technology Institute. Western production presided over.

At present, with the commercialization of 5G, C-V2X communication technology for 5G evolution can achieve key support for the all-round connection of cars and cars, cars and roads, cars and people, and cars and networks, and has broad commercial operation prospects. At present, operators, equipment manufacturers, automobile manufacturers and other related parties in the Internet of Vehicles industry are actively deploying applications and product research and development. Many cities in China have made the Internet of Vehicles industry a key development direction. At the C-V2X Technology R&D and Practice Seminar at the 2019 Intelligent Connected Vehicle Technology Conference, the guests collided with their thinking, gathered consensus, and offered suggestions for accelerating the pace of commercial use of connected vehicles.

Yan Yan, deputy general manager of China Unicom Zhiwang Technology South China, delivered a keynote speech on "Scenario-oriented 5G Intelligent Networking Services". He pointed out that with the development of 5G and intelligent networking, communication services have become more three-dimensional, scene-oriented, and intelligent. And shared application cases based on 5G+AI, 5G+V2X and other technologies. Finally, he suggested that technological innovation and framework leadership should be used to solve the technological bottlenecks in the industry; and relying on alliances and collaborative industries to jointly build a new benchmark for travel services.

Guo Panshi, director of NavInfo Research Institute of Vehicle-Road Collaboration, analyzed the technology, requirements and scenario applications of building a new generation of intelligent highways from the perspective of smart map empowering vehicle-road collaboration. He pointed out that smart maps will surely become the standard infrastructure for smart roads in the future, the key factor for the unification of time and space benchmarks for vehicle-road collaborative autonomous driving, and an important carrier for exploring smart roads based on service charging models. At the same time, the standards and ecology of smart maps have just started, and it is necessary to uphold the concept of open cooperation and use maps as one of the supporting platforms to connect the industry chain and jointly promote the development of the smart network industry.

He Ning, vice president and chief technology officer of Jinyi Technology, expressed his views on how to use V2X technology to create a more dynamic intelligent networked ecosystem, and shared his views on the development background of V2X, system architecture and integrated development ideas. At the same time, he also believes that although V2X has broad application prospects, commercial implementation still faces many challenges. The fundamental reason is that C-V2X-based intelligent network/vehicle-road collaboration lacks a user ecology and business model, and it is difficult to solve the "chicken or egg" problem. There is still some time for large-scale applications.

Wu Dongsheng, Vice President of Gosuncn Technology Group Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech on "5G Internet of Vehicles Empowering Autonomous Driving and Smart Transportation". He believes that autonomous driving and smart transportation are the ultimate goals of the development of the Internet of Vehicles. 5G Internet of Vehicles is ready for commercial use. 5G Internet of Vehicles will realize connection, perception, decision-making and control, and then realize free "people" and smart "cars". "Autonomous driving and smart traffic scenarios such as smart "roads", flexible "networks" and powerful "clouds".

Automobiles are facing new challenges of cross-border integration, and transportation has entered a new stage of integrated development. Vehicle-road collaboration is the core of the smart transportation system. Zhu Gang, assistant to the general manager of Wanji Technology, gave a keynote speech on "Intelligent Transportation Based on Intelligent Perception and Big Data Platform", and introduced in detail the important role of intelligent sensing and big data platform in intelligent transportation. "The overall architecture of smart transportation is based on a "road-vehicle-cloud" traffic big data platform, including urban inter-city traffic; key links include: comprehensive perception, ubiquitous networking, massive computing and in-depth mining; the underlying technology includes cloud Computing, big data, vehicle-road collaboration, 5G and edge computing, etc." he introduced.

Shi Weixing, an expert of Huali Zhixing, shared the exploration and practice of Huali Zhixing in key areas of vehicle-road collaboration. He believes that the future of V2X smart travel includes 5G + Internet of Things + artificial intelligence, a large-scale vehicle-road collaboration system, and a ubiquitous, collaborative and safe transportation system. It also introduced that the key to the advancement of intelligent network-vehicle-road collaboration technology lies in the penetration rate of automobile intelligence and the coverage rate of highway intelligence.

At the end of the seminar, all the guests participating in the seminar exchanged views on key technology research and development, application implementation, industrial development, etc., discussing the research and development and practice of C-V2X technology and accelerating the pace of commercial use of Internet of Vehicles.

As we all know, self-driving cars contain a variety of sensors, and they can already "see" and "think". However, a C-V2X technology based on 5G networks will provide another advanced skill for autonomous vehicles: the ability to communicate with each other. With the advancement of technology, the arrival of intelligent networking will profoundly change the automotive industry.
