A few days ago, the General Office of the Sichuan Provincial Government issued the "Sichuan Promulgated Action Plan for Accelerating the Construction of New Infrastructure" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan").
The plan clearly implements 22 major tasks in 9 major projects, and emphasizes speeding up the construction of advanced ubiquitous information infrastructure. It puts forward a clear construction requirement that the total number of 5G base stations in the province will reach 120,000 by the end of 2022.
The overall requirements of the “Plan” mentioned that it is necessary to speed up the construction of information infrastructure such as fifth-generation mobile communication technology (5G) networks, data centers, artificial intelligence, and blockchain, and put forward the main goal of new infrastructure after three years of hard work. The construction has made breakthrough progress, becoming an important support for the province’s economic and social transformation and development, innovative development, and leapfrogging development. It has basically built an information infrastructure with advanced technology, efficient coordination and integration of space and earth, and built a national core communication network hub; information technology is deeply integrated into transportation , Energy, water conservancy, municipal and other traditional infrastructure fields; initially form an innovative infrastructure system with national influence, and create a source of original innovation.
By the end of 2022, the total number of 5G base stations in the province will reach 120,000, the number of in-use data center cabinets will reach 100,000, the number of equipment networking will reach 10 million, and more than 20 blockchain technology application demonstration scenarios will be built to create vehicle-road collaboration There are more than 3 demonstration lines, more than 200,000 new energy vehicle charging piles, 30 major technological infrastructures, and more than 600 industrial technology innovation facilities. The scale of the digital economy reached 2 trillion yuan, accounting for more than 40% of the regional gross product (GDP).
