Wine 4.0.4 has been released, this version fixes a total of 65 bugs. The latest stable version is currently Wine 5.6 . Wine 4.0.x is mainly for maintenance and update. If you want to try new features in a stable environment, it is recommended to upgrade to Wine 5.6.
4.0.4 Some bugfixes are as follows:
- When using the MS Help 2 URL from the command line, Microsoft Document Explorer 2008 crashes (ieframe's WebBrowser COM object does not support aggregation)
- TSDoctor 1.0.58 does not work
- Use winegcc and stdin to pass parameters to gcc in the wrong place
- Using freetype 2.7 Wine causes font rendering issues
- Multiple .NET applications (Chime, DxO Photolab 2 trial version) crashed and RegisterApplicationRecoveryCallback is required to return S_OK
- Multiple applications are missing msvcr120.dll.?
- Refuse to install, the error message is "Your computer is missing Media features."
- Building Wine on CentOS7 fails due to missing libkrb5
