DELL server uses idrac virtual console for system installation

Preliminary preparations: iso documents and idrac enterprise version are prepared locally 1. Enter the remote management card interface and click Start.

radio CD / DVD " button to local ISO mapped files to the remote server's drive.
Note: If your ISO file and the remote server are on the same LAN, just map the local ISO file directly . If you are remotely via the Internet connection server, do not map the local ISO file: will take up a lot of bandwidth, so that remote installation will be snail cattle speeds, while the Internet is unstable, it may lead to other problems. You can place the ISO file on a server on the same local area network as this server, such as a file server. Log in remotely from this file server and map the ISO file.




4. Click "Browse" to select the ISO file, and then click "Mapping Device"

5. Click the "Next Boot" menu and click the "Virtual CD / DVD / ISO " button. Boot the system through the virtual CD-ROM drive for the next boot

6. Click the "Power" menu, you can restart the system through the options inside to enter the installation state.
It can be seen that the system can be turned on again regardless of shutdown, hot start, or cold start. Even if you don't care to
turn off the server , you can still turn it on again, just like in the computer room. These are things that remote desktops within the operating system can
not do. This is because the remote management card is controlled by a separate chip and is not affected by system shutdown.

7. After rebooting, the machine will automatically boot from the virtual media to install the operating system. If not, you can manually select F10 to enter the opening
to start the installation OS

 

The following are the steps to install the system:

1. Turn on and press F10 to enter Lifecycle interface.

Note: If you use Lifecycle for the first time, it will directly display the Lifecycle configuration wizard page
a, select the language and keyboard type, and press Next.

b, read the wizard product overview and click next

c. In the Lifecycle network configuration interface, click the Cancel button to exit the configuration wizard to go to the main interface of Lifecycle

2. Select [OS Deployment] on the left, and then click [Deploy OS] on the right.

3. RAID has been configured in this article, please select [Direct Jump to OS Deployment];
4. Select [Boot Mode] as [BIOS] and [OS Version] as [Microsoft Windows
server 2012] on the operating system selection interface , Then click [Next] to start preparing drivers for the selected operating system. This process takes 3-5
minutes, please be patient.
Note: If you do not find your desired operating system in the operating system list, you can not use this deployment procedures to deploy, cut
Do not select the last item [Any Other Operating System], please click on the upper right corner [Exit] and use manual installation.

5. Select [Manual Installation] for the installation mode, and then click [Next].

6. In the step of inserting the operating system media, you need to put the CD you prepared into the CD-ROM drive, and click [Next] after recognition.

7. After confirming that all configurations are correct, click [Finish], the server will automatically restart and start operating system installation from the CD-ROM drive.
Note 1: There will be no response for 1-2 minutes in this step, please be patient and wait for restart.
Note 2: If you have an old system on your server, the display will show "Press any key to boot from
CD / DVD rom" during the restart process . At this time, please press any to continue, otherwise you will enter the old system; if the server does not system, you can directly when
starting the installation CD-ROM before starting to load the file.

8. After the server restarts, the file loading process takes 5-10 minutes. Please wait patiently.

9. After the file is loaded, confirm the language information and click [Next].

10. The following steps are similar to the U disk installation system.
