If you are getting the "Mac OS X server certificate verification failed: issuer is not trusted issue" error there is a simple fix which has been found to work:
In Mac OS X open a terminal:
svn list https://.myversioncontrol.com/subversion/
You get the error validating server certificate, with the options
to: (R)eject, accept (t)emporarily or accept (p)ermanently. Choose "p".
