• VMware virtual environment.
• LSI Logic SAS/LSI Logic Parallel.
• RHEL 8.

问题

• RHEL8 fails to install on VMware guest using scsi controller of type 'LSI Logic SAS' OR 'LSI Logic Parallel'

决议

• The installation can be proceeded by changing scsi controller type to VMware Paravirtual which will use vmw_pvscsi as underlying storage driver.

根源

• Following drivers of LSI Logic are deprecated in RHEL8,and hence while installation disks will not get detected.
